Jubaea chilensis, known as the Chilean palm, is a plant of the Aceraceae family, native to Chile, which can reach 30 m in height. It has an impressive trunk, 0.8 to 1.1 m in diameter, straight, columnar, cylindrical, bare and narrower towards the top. Its bark is ashy, thin, hard and covered with rhombic leaf scars.
Its leaves are evergreen, numerous, grouped at the end of the trunk, large, 2 to 4 m long and 50 to 60 cm wide, dark green to yellowish.
